The Role
A secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a versatile and engaging Maths Teacher to join their team from April 2026 on a long-term supply basis.
This is a varied role, involving teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, alongside Core Maths and BTEC Engineering-related content at Key Stage 5. You will deliver lessons that blend academic and applied maths, helping students understand how mathematical concepts are used in real-world and vocational contexts.
The role includes planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and supporting learners preparing for both GCSE and post-16 qualifications. The school is looking for a teacher who can engage students of varying abilities and adapt their teaching style accordingly.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or be an ECT
• Have experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4, with the ability to support KS5 delivery
• Be confident delivering or willing to teach Core Maths and BTEC Engineering content
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
• Be adaptable, organised, and committed to student progress
