The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated English Teacher to join a secondary school in Solihull from February 2026. This long-term assignment involves teaching English across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons in both Language and Literature that build analytical skills, technical accuracy and exam confidence.
You will take full responsibility for planning, marking and assessment, using data effectively to track progress and implement targeted intervention where needed. A strong focus on GCSE outcomes and raising attainment across mixed-ability groups is essential.
The Candidate
You will hold QTS and have secure subject knowledge across the English curriculum. The ideal candidate will demonstrate confident classroom management, high expectations and the ability to inspire students to develop a genuine appreciation for reading and writing. Experience preparing students for GCSE examinations is highly desirable.
