The Role
A secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a knowledgeable and adaptable Business / Economics Teacher to join their department from February 2026 on a long-term supply basis. The role involves delivering Business Studies and/or Economics, supporting pupils’ understanding of key commercial concepts, economic theory, and real-world application.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing pupil progress, and preparing students for examinations. This role is suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs looking to secure a consistent placement within a supportive department.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS (or be an ECT)
• Have experience teaching Business Studies and/or Economics
• Be confident delivering exam-focused content
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management
• Be organised, adaptable, and committed to pupil progress
