This fantastic special school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support secondary-aged students with complex learning needs. If you are patient, nurturing and ready to help young people thrive, this could be the perfect role for you.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be offering both 1-2-1 and small group support, helping students with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, communication needs and additional challenges access learning and succeed in the classroom. Working alongside experienced teachers and a skilled SENCO team, you will help create a safe, structured and engaging environment where students feel valued, confident and ready to learn.
Job Role:- Supporting students with complex needs across Key Stage 3 and 4
- Providing 1-2-1 and small group assistance to promote engagement and progress
- Helping students develop communication, confidence and learning skills
- Assisting the teacher with planning and adapting activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students and staff
