Job Description
Are you a Learning Support Assistant who has experience working within an Alternative Provision or Pupil Referral Unit setting? Do you enjoy breaking down barriers to education and helping young people to engage with education? If so, we are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1-2-1 support with a Key Stage 4 Male Student at one of our fantastic Alternative Provision setting. The school are looking for a resilient, engaging, proactive and caring Learning Support Assistant to help break down barriers to education and make learning fun!

As a Learning Support Assistant at this school, you will be joining a fantastic team who are passionate about education and always aim to inspire their students. You will be working on a 1-2-1 basis, providing classroom-based support and helping this young person to engage with all aspects of school life. Role:
  • Working 1-2-1 with students
  • Making learning fun and engaging for pupils
  • Providing support to teaching staff when needed
  • Building rapport and trust with students
  • Leading on fun classroom activities
 
Ideally, you will:

  • Have experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant
  • Have worked with challenging behaviour and Special Needs
  • Be able to break down barriers to communication
  • Have a calm, patient and positive approach
  • Be able to challenge students when required
