As a Learning Support Assistant at this school, you will be joining a fantastic team who are passionate about education and always aim to inspire their students. You will be working on a 1-2-1 basis, providing classroom-based support and helping this young person to engage with all aspects of school life. This challenging role requires someone who can act as a positive role model for students who have faced barriers to education and are at risk of getting involved in criminal activities. Role:
- Working 1-2-1 with students
- Making learning fun and engaging for pupils
- Providing support to teaching staff when needed
- Building rapport and trust with students
- Leading on fun classroom activities
Ideally, you will:
- Have experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant
- Have worked with challenging behaviour and Special Needs
- Be able to break down barriers to communication
- Have a calm, patient and positive approach
- Be able to challenge students when required
