Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: BD15 – Bradford, West Yorkshire

About the Role The Education Network is recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and inclusive school in BD15. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take on additional responsibility and play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, progress, and well-being across the school.
As a HLTA, you will be working closely with the teaching staff and leadership team, supporting classes, delivering planned lessons, and leading small group interventions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Covering lessons and delivering pre-planned work in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis to raise attainment.
  • Assisting teachers with planning, preparation, and assessment.
  • Leading targeted interventions to support literacy, numeracy, and social development.
  • Contributing to the creation of a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive relationships.
Requirements
  • HLTA status (or equivalent Level 4 qualification) is desirable.
  • Previous experience working as a TA/HLTA within a school setting.
  • Ability to deliver lessons confidently in the teacher’s absence.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach to supporting children.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
