The winning superhero earned their school a fantastic framed photo of the winning entry, gift vouchers and a full days martial arts and behaviour skills learning session.
We received some amazingly creative entries, but there could only be one winner and that was Rhys Crowson, a Year 6 pupil at Paston Ridings Primary School in Peterborough. Congratulations Rhys!
Here you can see Rhys’ Superhero creation in all its glory. The ‘Toxic Ninja Warior’ drawing includes some fantastically detailed explanations about his super powers including speed, power and equipment!
The fun competition, was designed with Master Ian Parker of MPSK, to focus on children’s development using the principles of Martial Arts, in the following 7 areas:
Rhys Presented with Award and Class Workshop for 60 Children
Helen Sutcliffe and Simon Williams from our Peterborough office, visited Rhys and Paston Ridings Primary School to present his prizes, including his framed Superhero picture and WHSmith Gift Voucher.
Not only was Rhys delighted with his award, his school friends were too, as they benefited from a full days Martial Art Class and Behaviour Learning Session, led by Master Ian Parker.
Helen said “We’ve really enjoyed running this competition, as there is a fun and serious learning aspect to it.”
“The children were able to get their creative minds flowing in an imaginative and entertaining way, while the overall learning objective of behaviour and personal development were explained through the full day workshop. Over 60 children took part on the day and had lots of fun.”
Master Ian Parker added “This has been a great competition to judge with some really creative entries. I was really pleased to see the kids enjoy the full days workshop and take part in Martial Arts.
We strive to provide children of all ages with the positive influence of the martial art form, that focuses the mind and supports their personal behavioural development”.
“For example, Tang Soo Do helps develop a positive character in a child by utilising strict guidelines and a fun but serious atmosphere. We focus on key behavioural skills of Respect, Self Discipline, Behaviour, Coordination, Confidence, Cooperation, Concentration and Better Health.”
