More than forty children and six young leaders from James Watt Primary School, Birmingham enjoyed a ‘Fun day’ courtesy of The Education Network on the 19th and 20th of July.

The two day affair organised by a team from The Education Network’s Birmingham office was planned as an end of term treat for KS1 & KS2 pupils for all their hard work this year.

The event proved to be both educational and fun as a variety of activities were held including sports, races and fun games with prizes, as well as competitions such as the Young Leader 2016 Competition which encouraged primary school children to take ownership over the two days, from the planning to the marketing and even managing.

Winners of the Young Leader competition were given lovely trophies which were donated by The Education Network.

The Education Network team worked hard throughout the day running the stalls, participating in games and activities and hand designing and printing T’shirts for the pupils.

Members of the team even volunteered to have wet sponges thrown at them, though given the current weather this may have been more for their benefit then the pupils!

Thank you to our very own Mr Evans and Mr Nichols for making this event so special and of course, to all the children and staff at James Watt Primary School.
