A large Secondary School in West Birmingham is looking for an Assistant Head of Year to join its outstanding team of staff. Are you looking to take on an exciting new challenge supporting a large group of students? Are you passionate about working with students to manage their behaviour effectively to ensure they get the most out of their education? This Assistant Head of Year position is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your pastoral skills whilst managing a cohort of around 280 students. The school has an outstanding team of staff who have worked to ensure the quality of education is at a very high standard.
As Assistant Head of Year, you will also be expected to carry out duties before, during and after school. Whilst students are in lessons it will be your responsibility to pick up and enquire with pupils who appear to be struggling to engage with their studies. It will be your responsibility to work with the Head of Year to resolve poor behaviour and try and work towards practical solutions for students.
