Job Details

Are you a qualified Primary Teacher who has experience working with Special Educational Needs? Do you enjoy teaching smaller classes, and working with pupils who require additional support? Are you passionate about working somewhere where you can make a difference? The Education Network is currently recruiting for a QTS Primary School Teacher to teach year groups 5-6 at a school in South Birmingham. If you are looking to move away from the intensive hours and marking that mainstream teaching presents, then this is the role for you! As an SEN Primary Teacher at this school, you can focus on delivering fun and creative lessons that allow students to fully engage with their education.

The school is looking for a motivating, resilient and caring teacher, who is determined to make a difference. The school has created a warm and welcoming culture for students and staff that allow all to feel comfortable and engage with their environment properly. Class sizes vary, but as an SEN Primary Teacher you will always receive assistance from an outstanding team of support staff. Because many of the students have EHCPs, it is essential that you have excellent behaviour management skills, and you are capable of handling a classroom. This role is suitable for NQTs and ECTs; experience working with SEN and SEMH needs is essential.

Job Role:

  • Teaching small classes of KS2 pupils
  • Breaking down barriers to education and communication
  • Working with TAs to ensure every child is supported
  • Making lessons fun and engaging
  • Thinking outside the box and delivering creative solutions

In return you will enjoy:
  • Opportunities for personal and professional development in a supportive environment
  • CPD and ongoing training
  • A long-term or permanent role in this school
