English Teacher required to join a dynamic Alternative Provision located in North Birmingham. Are you an English Teacher with a passion for breaking down academic and social barriers? Are you looking for an opportunity to teach small classes of students with SEMH needs? This outstanding Alternative Provision is looking to add an English teacher to the team to join a small but experienced department. You will be Teaching Key Stage 3 & 4 English to classes of no more than 10 students and will receive extensive support from the pastoral team. The school has been making waves throughout education for being recognised an environment with a wonderful culture that celebrates everything that makes its students different.
As an English Teacher you will enjoy access to a range of resources and be given the freedom to deliver creative lessons aimed at improving engagement and inspiring a love for English. The school are committed to giving students a second chance and helping them to reintegrate into mainstream education. They are looking for an English Teacher with a fresh approach who can raise attainment in the subject across the school. This role requires a qualified English Teacher with either QTS or QTLS and is not suitable for NQT/QCT English teachers. Experience working with children on the SEND register and with SEMH additional needs is essential for this role.
- Teaching English to KS3 and KS4 students, up to GCSE level
- Working alongside a proactive team of auxiliary staff
- Planning and developing the curriculum alongside the other English Teachers
- Delivering fun and creative lessons that will help students reengage with education
