As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will have excellent relationship building skills, as having a strong rapport with the students is vital for their engagement with their learning as well as pastoral support.
As an SEN Primary Teacher at this school, you will have access to excellent resources and facilities that you can use to make every lesson as engaging as possible for the pupils. The school are very eager to make their lessons as practical as possible to help with engagement, so as an SEN Primary Teacher in this position you will need to deliver fun, creative lessons. You will have the assistance of an excellent team of support staff who will provide you with classroom assistance. Lessons are planned under the EYFS so as an SEN Primary Teacher it is important that you have experience working with this framework. You will be working with students aged 3 – 11 who have EHCPs. This role is suitable for ECTs and NQTs; it is essential that you are a QTS or QTLS teacher. Experience working as a Primary SEN teacher isn’t vital, however experience working in SEN or a good demonstration of understanding additional needs is essential.
- Teaching engaging and fun lessons to pupils from Reception to Year 6
