A busy Alternate Provision school in South Birmingham is looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active Science Teacher to join their outstanding team of staff. Do you have experience working with children with EHCPs and want to help increase their engagement with education? Are you able to build strong, positive relationships with students with SEMH needs? This school is looking for a Science Teacher who can effectively differentiate work to meet the needs of the students so that their levels of ability are strongly considered but they are also sufficiently challenged. You will be teaching Science to students aged 9 – 16 alongside a forward-thinking team of Science Teachers to ensure the best quality of teaching is delivered. The school places emphasis on ensuring their staff’s well-being is also looked after and has created an incredibly safe and respectful culture to work in.
As a Science Teacher in this school, you must have experience working with SEND students who may have SEND diagnoses such as ADHD, ASC, PTSD, PDA, ODD and Attachment Disorder. You will be supported by a brilliant team of pastoral and auxiliary staff who will help manage behaviour in the classroom, which can be challenging at times. As a Science teacher in this position, you will be teaching triple science up to GCSE level. Most of your time will be spent teaching your subject speciality but there may be occasions where you must teach other subjects, however you will receive support when this occurs. You will also occasionally deliver practical lessons alongside other teaching staff in line with H&S guidelines. For this role you must be a QTS or QTLS Science Teacher and it is suitable for NQTs and ECTs.

- Teaching Triple Science lessons for KS2, KS3 and KS4 students
