We are currently looking to fill a long term teaching assistant role working within one of our wonderful partnership primary schools in South shields. The role would be supporting within early years and would be running from after the summer term till the end of the school year.

The school are looking for someone who is warm, approachable and can work under their own initiative to help create a welcoming environment for young minds to flourish.

To be considered for this role we ask that the following criteria be met in full:

-Qualified to a minimum of level 3 in Supporting education and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)

-Have zero criminal convictions and if not in possession already be willing to apply for a DBS (Disclosure and Barring service) Certificate.

- Have enthusiasm for learning and supporting teachers and pupils in school

- You must have recent experience of working in a classroom environment (voluntary is acceptable)

-Be able to provide references to cover you for your last 2 years of employment (at least one being relevant to childcare/education)

 

This is a great opportunity to gain paid employment in a fantastic school and potentially be taken on permanently at the end of your placement funding dependant.
