Are you a Qualified Science Teacher with good subject knowledge and excellent behaviour management? Have you considered teaching smaller classes of students that are no longer in mainstream education? We are currently recruiting for a local Alternative Provision that caters for children that have been excluded from mainstream education.
With a reduction in planning and marking, and slightly shorter hours, this role is certainly a change of pace from mainstream education. There are no more than 8 students in any class, and you will receive classroom support from Teaching Assistants who specialise in working with SEND and challenging behaviours. As a Science Teacher you will enjoy working as part as a small team that are focused on making a difference.
- Teaching Science to Key Stage 3 & 4
- Managing classroom behaviour
- Taking part in whole school activities
- Delivering engaging an informative lessons
Ideally you will:
- Have experience working in a SEND Environment
- Have good classroom management skills
- Want to make a difference
- Enjoy being part of a dynamic school
