We currently require a 1:1 Teaching assistant to support with Key Stage 1 pupils in a ‘Good’ rated primary school in south shields. The teaching assistant role would be to run from October until the summer with a possibility of a permanent contract being offered thereafter.

We are looking for staff who would work well with children with ASD who are non verbal or limited social communication difficulties. Some one who thinks on their feet and is willingly to give it a good go. 

The school have a wonderful, friendly team of staff who pride themselves on welcoming new members and making sure they receive the best possible start in their new teaching or teaching assistant roles.

To be considered for this teaching assistant role we must that any candidate have appropriate experience in Key Stage 1 and be qualified to Level 2 in supporting Education and Learning or equivalent qualification.
