If you have previous experience working with children and young people and you’re keen to kick-start a career in teaching, this could be the role for you!

 

Our client school is based on the  north side of Doncaster and has a position available for an unqualified Maths teacher to join their team.  Whilst a teaching certificate isn’t essential, you must demonstrate an understanding of working in classrooms and being able to manage behaviour effectively.  Your specialism will be within the Maths department and you’ll be required to take different groups both higher and lower set, so you must have a strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum.

 

You will be supporting across the Maths department and not only will you have the chance to teach full classes, but you’ll gain experience in planning and preparing lessons, whilst monitoring progress effectively.

 

Initiative is important in this role too.  You will find yourself working with small groups of pupils, perhaps those who are struggling in Maths, and help them to understand the subject better.  You may also be asked to work on a one to one basis with some pupils.
