English Graduate Teaching Assistant

***Supporting KS3 and KS4 through the English curriculum
 
The Candidate:
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in English.
  • Confidence in your ability to share your advanced knowledge of the English language with KS3 and KS4 students to aid them through the English GCSEs.
  • A bubbly and charismatic personality.
  • Excellent communication skills to build strong bonds with students and staff.
  • Previous experience of working in a school setting is beneficial but not mandatory.

 
The Role
In your English Graduate Teaching Assistant role, you will be responsible for the support of students aged 11-16 through the English national curriculum. You will be assisting teaching staff in the planning of lessons and monitoring and tracking student progress to aid in the adaptation of learning materials to suit each individual’s needs. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will adopt the responsibility of creating a positive and productive learning environment. The security of students will be your priority and you will be dedicated to the upkeep of safeguarding processes to ensure all pupils feel happy and safe.
