It is with this in mind that we are delighted to say we are looking for a qualified primary school teacher to take on a long term teaching role at a medium sized, ‘Good’ rated school within a short drive of Newcastle upon Tyne. The role would commence 2 weeks prior to the Easter holidays and would run until the summer holidays on a supply basis before being taken on permanently (subject to performance) by the school.
This is to cover a planned absence and subsequent staff retirement. The initial cover would be in Year 5 until the summer before then taking the same class through year 6 come September.
To be considered for the role we ask that the following criteria be met in full.
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
-Recent teaching experience in a school in the UK and flexibility with your working environments
-Superb behaviour management skills and the ability to build a strong, professional rapport with children and staff
-Commitment and passion to good teaching practice and quality supply teaching
- Full understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities
-The pedagogy of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children including classroom organisation and learning strategies
