We are currently working with a large primary school in the south of Northumberland who are looking to hire 2 x teaching assistants to cover in their Early Years and Key stage 1 units.

The roles would be to begin as soon as possible and run till at least the summer holidays with the possibility of being offered a permanent position if successful in the role and funding being available.

The school itself is rated ‘Good’ with OFSTED and they have a fantastic record in upskilling their staff while offering a wide range of continuing professional development. Staff turnover among teachers is relatively low and as such created a wonderful, supportive and tight team that would welcome any potential recruit with open arms.

To be considered for the role we would ask that the following criteria be met in full:
-Qualified to a minimum of level 2 in Supporting education and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
-Have zero criminal convictions and if not in possession already be willing to apply for a DBS (Disclosure and Barring service) Certificate.
- Have enthusiasm for learning and supporting teachers and pupils in school
- You must have recent experience of working in a classroom environment (voluntary is acceptable)
-You must have the right attitude to go in and make a worthy contribution to the standards or education and the ethos of the school as a whole
