We currently require a 1:1 Teaching assistant to support with Key Stage 1 pupils in a ‘Good’ rated primary school in south shields. The teaching assistant role would be to run from after February half term and then on until the summer. Depending on performance the role would then be offered on a permanent basis to the successful teaching assistant. You would be responsible for additional support to pupils on a one to one basis helping with their concentration and focus and raising their attainment in the general curriculum. You may occasionally be asked to support with small groups too although the majority of your work will be on a 1:1 basis.
The school have a wonderful, friendly team of staff who pride themselves on welcoming new members and making sure they receive the best possible start in their new teaching or teaching assistant roles.
To be considered for this teaching assistant role we must that any candidate have appropriate experience in Key Stage 1 and be qualified to Level 3 in supporting Education and Learning or equivalent qualification.
