Job Details

Teaching Assistant needed to provide classroom based support to children who require additional support in a mainstream school. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is comfortable working with challenging behaviour, to provide support to students with additional needs. You will be working with small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis, so an abundance of  patience, empathy and resilience are essential.

This school has been recognised for its outstanding contributions to education. They have great facilities, and utilise facilities within the local community to ensure that the children get to experience new things. Job Role:

  • Providing, academic and behaviour support
  • Building rapport with students, getting to know their individual needs
  • Supporting the class Teacher
  • Leading fun and educational activities for students
  • Making a difference
Ideally, you will:
  • Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant
  • Be able to work with challenging behaviour
  • Have recent experience working with Special Educational Needs
  • Be resilient, confident and empathetic towards students’ needs
