• Salary: £175 – £250 per day (dependent on experience)

The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated Good school in Birmingham from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis.
 
The successful candidate will teach History across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that develop students’ knowledge, understanding and ability to analyse historical events and sources.
 
You will be responsible for planning and delivering effective lessons, assessing student progress and maintaining high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
 
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will:

• Hold QTS or be an ECT specialising in History
• Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History
• Have experience teaching, or be training to teach, across KS3 and KS4
• Deliver engaging and appropriately challenging lessons
• Demonstrate effective classroom management skills
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of individual learners
• Be organised, reliable and committed to supporting student progress

 
The School
You will be joining an Ofsted-rated Good school in Birmingham, working as part of the History department and wider teaching team.
 
This long-term supply opportunity provides a chance to make a positive contribution to students’ learning and development while gaining valuable experience within a secondary school environment.
