The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a secondary school in Dudley from September 2026 on a supply basis.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured English lessons, supporting students to develop their literacy, communication and analytical skills. You will create a positive learning environment, maintain high expectations and contribute to students’ academic progress.
 
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will:

• Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
• Be able to deliver engaging and effective lessons
• Have strong classroom management skills
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different learners
• Be organised, reliable and committed to supporting student progress
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues and parents/carers where appropriate

The School
You will be joining a secondary school in Dudley, working as part of the English department and wider teaching team. The role offers an opportunity to make a positive contribution to students’ learning and development while gaining experience within a school setting.
