The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join its mathematics department from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across the secondary age range, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students’ numeracy, problem-solving, reasoning, and mathematical understanding. You will support students in making strong progress while preparing them for their GCSE Maths qualifications.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will uphold high expectations for behaviour and achievement while encouraging students to develop confidence and enthusiasm for Mathematics.
The Candidate
- Hold QTS or be an ECT
- Have experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting
- Be confident delivering the secondary Maths curriculum
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a genuine passion for Maths and inspiring young people
