The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Walsall is seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join its Humanities department from September 2026 on a supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that develop students’ geographical knowledge, critical thinking, research, and analytical skills. You will inspire students to explore both physical and human geography while supporting them in making strong academic progress and preparing for their GCSE Geography qualifications.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will encourage students to develop curiosity about the world around them while maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and participation.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
  • Have experience teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4
  • Be confident delivering the GCSE Geography curriculum
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a genuine passion for Geography and inspiring young people
