The Role
A secondary school in Dudley is seeking a passionate and dedicated Design Technology Teacher specialising in Food Technology to join its Design & Technology department from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis.
The successful candidate will teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging, practical, and well-structured lessons that develop students’ creativity, technical knowledge, practical skills, and understanding of food preparation and nutrition.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality practical and theory lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment. You will encourage students to develop confidence, independence, creativity, and strong practical skills while supporting them to achieve their full potential.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or have relevant teaching experience
• Have experience teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
• Be confident delivering practical Food Technology lessons
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Have excellent organisational and communication skills
• Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
• Have a genuine passion for Food Technology and Design & Technology
