The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join its successful Mathematics department from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students' confidence in numeracy, algebra, geometry, statistics, reasoning, and problem-solving. You will support pupils in preparing for GCSE Mathematics, ensuring they develop the knowledge and skills needed to achieve their full potential.
Working as part of a supportive department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement while inspiring students to develop resilience and confidence in mathematics.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS or be an ECT
- Have experience teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4
- Be confident delivering the GCSE Maths curriculum
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Be committed to raising standards and supporting student progress
- Have a positive, engaging, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
