The Role
A secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis.
The successful candidate will supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 during the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with the work set and maintain a positive approach to learning. You will play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school by promoting high standards of behaviour and creating a calm, productive classroom environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, Learning Mentors, Sports Coaches, Youth Workers, or individuals with experience working with secondary-aged students. The role provides valuable classroom experience while making a meaningful contribution to students' education and development.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:

• Have experience working with young people, ideally within a school or educational setting
• Be confident managing classes across a range of curriculum subjects
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate effective behaviour management and organisational abilities
• Be flexible, reliable, and able to work independently
• Be committed to supporting students' learning, wellbeing, and personal development
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Graduate, Sports Coach, Youth Worker, or Learning Mentor would be highly beneficial.
