The Role
A secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to join their team from April 2026 on a supply basis.
The role involves supervising pre-set lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students remain on task and follow the work provided by teaching staff. You will manage classroom behaviour, support student engagement, and maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher.
This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or for experienced cover staff seeking flexible work within secondary schools.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Have experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience desirable)
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
  • Be confident leading a classroom and following lesson plans
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be adaptable, reliable, and professional
