The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Walsall is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join their Performing Arts department from April 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis.
The role involves teaching Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and practical lessons that develop students’ performance skills, confidence, and creativity. You will support pupils in exploring a range of theatrical techniques and preparing for GCSE Drama, including both practical and written components.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, directing performances, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment. The school is looking for someone who can inspire students and bring energy to the subject.

The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Have experience teaching Drama at secondary level
- Be confident delivering practical and theory-based Drama lessons
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Be passionate about the performing arts and student development
