The Role
A Good-rated secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join their team from March 2026 on a full-time, long-term supply basis. The role will involve teaching Computer Science across the secondary curriculum, delivering lessons that develop students’ understanding of programming, digital systems, and computational thinking.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress, and supporting students as they develop both theoretical knowledge and practical computing skills. The school is looking for a teacher who can maintain high expectations and inspire interest in technology and computing.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge, including programming concepts
- Be confident managing behaviour and engaging learners
- Be organised, proactive, and committed to raising achievement
