The Role
We are recruiting a knowledgeable and confident Chemistry Teacher to join a secondary school in Walsall from April 2026. This long-term supply position involves teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with a Chemistry specialism at KS5. You will deliver clear, well-structured lessons that develop practical skills, deepen conceptual understanding and prepare students for GCSE and A-Level success.
The role includes full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, assessment and contributing to departmental schemes of work. A strong focus on exam performance, progress tracking and targeted intervention is expected.
 
The Candidate
You must hold QTS or be an ECT with a specialist in Chemistry. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge up to A-Level, confident behaviour management and the ability to stretch high-attaining students while supporting those who require additional guidance. Experience delivering KS5 Chemistry is highly desirable.
