The Role
A secondary school in Redditch is seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join their department from February 2026 on a long-term basis. The role involves teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, delivering well-structured lessons that support literacy development and strong GCSE results.
You will take full teaching responsibility, including planning, assessment, tracking progress, and maintaining clear behaviour expectations. The school is looking for a teacher who can build positive classroom relationships while driving academic standards.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
  • Have experience teaching English at secondary level
  • Be confident delivering both Language and Literature
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
  • Be organised, proactive, and focused on pupil progress
