The Role
A Good-rated secondary school in Solihull is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable History Teacher to join their humanities department from January 2026 on a long-term supply basis. The role involves delivering engaging and well-structured History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, following the national curriculum.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing progress, and contributing to a supportive and collaborative humanities team. This is a strong opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to gain long-term classroom experience in a stable setting.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS (or be an ECT)
  • Have experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4
  • Demonstrate confident classroom and behaviour management
  • Be organised, adaptable, and committed to pupil progress
  • Be able to plan, assess, and mark effectively
