English Teacher – Sandwell
 
A forward-thinking secondary school in Sandwell is seeking an English Teacher to join them from January 2026. This long-term assignment suits someone who enjoys helping students find their voice through clear analysis, confident writing and a genuine appreciation for literature.

The Role
You’ll teach English across KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons that build strong reading, writing and critical-thinking skills. The role includes planning, marking and guiding pupils through key assessments, with plenty of scope to shape engaging units and bring texts to life. You’ll work within an experienced department that values clear routines, shared resources and consistent expectations.
 
The Candidate
You’ll be a qualified English specialist with strong curriculum knowledge and confidence in managing a mixed-ability classroom. The school is looking for someone who communicates clearly, adapts their approach when needed and brings a steady, reliable presence to the team. A passion for helping students build long-term literacy skills will be essential.
