The Role
We’re seeking a creative and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a Good-rated secondary school in Birmingham from January 2026. This full-time, long-term role involves teaching Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop essential practical skills, nutritional understanding, and confidence in the kitchen.
You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote creativity, independence, and healthy living. The role also includes preparing students for GCSE-level assessment, contributing to curriculum development, and maintaining a safe and stimulating practical learning environment.
 
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an innovative teacher with a passion for Food Technology and student achievement. You should be:

• A qualified teacher with QTS (applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed)
• Experienced in teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4
• Confident managing practical lessons and maintaining high health and safety standards
• Creative in developing resources that make food preparation engaging and accessible
• A positive team player with excellent organisation and communication skills
