The Role
We are seeking an experienced and organised Science Technician to join a Good-rated secondary school in Birmingham on a full-time, term-time only basis. This is an immediate start role for someone confident in supporting KS3 and KS4 Science.
You’ll be responsible for preparing, setting up, and maintaining laboratory equipment and materials for practical lessons. The role includes supporting teachers during experiments, ensuring that health and safety standards are maintained, and assisting in the day-to-day running of the department.
 
The Candidate
We’re looking for a proactive and reliable Science Technician with a solid understanding of laboratory practice and safety. You should be:
  • H&S and CLEAPSS trained, with a strong knowledge of lab protocols
  • Experienced in working within a secondary school science department
  • Confident in preparing practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a supportive Science team
