Art & Design Teacher – Specialism in Photography & Graphics
 
We are currently seeking a creative and passionate Art & Design Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Walsall from September. This long-term role offers a fantastic opportunity for a QTS-qualified or Early Career Teacher with experience in Photography and Graphics to inspire students and contribute to a thriving department.

• Salary: £175 – £250 per day (dependent on experience)

The Role
This is a full-time teaching role focused on delivering engaging lessons across Art & Design, with a particular emphasis on Photography and Graphics. You'll plan and deliver practical, creative, and theoretical lessons that encourage innovation and develop technical skill. You’ll also support students in building strong portfolios and preparing for assessments.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Teaching Art across KS3 and KS4
• Leading sessions in Photography and Graphic Design
• Encouraging creativity while maintaining curriculum standards
• Supporting individual progress through differentiated instruction
• Contributing to the wider creative life of the school

 
The Candidate
You’ll be a motivated and skilled Art teacher with a passion for creative education. Experience teaching Photography and Graphics is essential. You should bring strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, and the ability to inspire students across a range of abilities.
 
We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS or is completing an ECT programme
• Has experience teaching Art, Photography, and Graphics
• Is confident using digital and traditional media
• Builds strong relationships with students and staff
• Can contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking department
