This part-time role (3 days per week) is to start in September 2025 and will involve teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. The Role
You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality DT lessons with a focus on Resistant Materials, ensuring pupils are challenged, engaged, and inspired. You’ll work closely with a well-established DT department equipped with excellent workshop facilities and resources. This is an opportunity to bring your creativity to the classroom while helping students develop technical skills, design thinking, and resilience.
The Candidate
The school is seeking a teacher who can stretch and motivate learners of all abilities. You should be passionate about your subject, confident in classroom management, and able to foster a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or be an Early Career Teacher
- Have experience teaching Resistant Materials at KS3 and KS4
- Be committed to helping students reach their potential through innovative teaching
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and high expectations
