Job Description
Teaching Assistant required to work with small groups of young adult learners that are no longer in mainstream education.  We are looking for a Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor who has experience working with challenging behaviour or special educational needs in a classroom setting.

The school is a dynamic, exciting setting, and staff are excellent. You will be joining a team that endeavour to go above and beyond for their students. As a Teaching Assistant at this Alternative Provision, you will be expected to be calm and resilient, with good behaviour management.

Job Role:
  • Working 1-2-1 with SEND students
  • Making learning fun for disengaged students
  • Providing support to teaching staff when needed
  • Building rapport and trust with students
  • Leading on fun classroom activities
 
Ideally, you will:
  • Have experience working as a Learning Mentor or Teaching Assistant
  • Have worked with challenging behaviour
  • Be able to break down barriers to communication
  • Have a calm, patient and positive approach
  • Be able to challenge students when required
