School Business Manager - Being a School Business Manager is more than just finance, strategy, H&S, site management and HR it is about ensuring that the school team feel supported and you are part of the bigger picture.

This lovely school offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced School Business Manager to take on a key permanent role from September 2026. You will join a setting with clear ambition, strong leadership, and the scope to make a visible impact through effective planning, sound financial management, and strong operational oversight. This is a role for someone who wants to play a central part in the wider success and growth of the school.

You will be:- 

• Business Leadership – Proven experience leading finance, operations, administration, or business functions within a school or similar setting.
• Strategic Planning – The ability to lead long-term planning, manage change, and align business functions with whole-school priorities.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication with staff, governors, external partners, and wider stakeholders.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Operational Management – Strong experience across areas such as budget management, compliance, HR, premises, procurement, or support services.

Lead the school’s business function, taking responsibility for strategic planning, financial management, operations, administration, compliance, and resource planning. You will work closely with the Headteacher and senior leaders to make sure the school’s systems, staffing, premises, and business processes support high-quality education and long-term success.
