Job Description
Teaching Assistant - Learning Mentor required to work in a mainstream Secondary School with pupils with barriers to learning that may required additonal support.  The Group consists mainly of boys so we are looking for an extremely positive role model who can make learning interesting and keep the pupils engaged. They all love sport so maybe as well as acadeic support someone that knows how to create energises and engage the students in lessons by positively applying their energy.   

This role requires a patient, caring and friendly individual that has experience working with secondary aged pupils.  As a Teaching Assistant and Learning Mentor you will be working on a 1-2-1 and small group basis within a classroom setting, ensuring that the student you are supporting are communicating and engaged within the classroom setting.

You will be responsible for ensuring this students attend classes and are given the opportunity to engage in lessons. This is a great opportunity for a Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor to work with students that require additional support. If you are a Teaching Assistant that has experience working with Special Educational Needs, challenging behaviour or vulnerable young people this role might be ideal for you.
