Learning Support Assistant - Gateshead

The Education Network is currently working in partnership with a lovely school in Gateshead in search of a Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a fixed term supply basis. The role is to start in September 2021 for the full academic year. There is potential for the role to be extended or made permanent for the right candidate.

In order to be successful in your application, you must be confident and have some experience of supporting children to achieve their learning goals within a school or educational setting, preferably with the secondary school age group (11-18).

Requirements for the role of Learning Support Assistant:
•Experience in the classroom (preferable)
•Have strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with staff and students.
•Have excellent organisational and time management skills.
•At least two years of work history/education which can be referenced.
•A valid DBS certificate or the willingness to apply for one.
