1:1 Learning Mentor required to work with a Key Stage 4 male student who is no longer in mainstream education. As a Learning mentor you will be acting as a positive role model, leading on activities and encouraging participation in lessons. This student requires a mentor with good behaviour management, and a positive approach. Ideally you will be able help this student to overcome barriers that he faces on a daily basis.
The student attends an Alternative Provision that has a track record of helping students to reengage with education. Staff are friendly and supportive. This is a fantastic long-term/ permanent role, ideal for an experienced Mentor or Teaching Assistant.
- Working on a 1:1 and small group basis with students who are no longer in mainstream education
- Encourage participation in lessons and other activities
- Act as a positive role model
- Break down barriers to education
- Working off site with students
- Providing both academic and pastoral support for students
