The Role
You will take full responsibility for a Year 1 class. Plan clear, well sequenced lessons across phonics, early writing and maths. Build strong routines and language rich interactions. Use assessment to identify gaps and run short, targeted interventions. Set purposeful homework and communicate regularly with families. Contribute to year group planning and moderation. Safeguard pupils and keep accurate records.
 
The School
This ‘Good’ two-form entry primary has consistent behaviour systems, visible leadership and a collaborative KS1 team. Staff share planning, model resources and a phonics programme with strong outcomes. Classrooms are well equipped, including interactive boards and access to high quality reading materials. ECTs receive a reduced timetable, protected PPA and regular coaching so you can focus on effective teaching and steady progress.
 
ECT Induction
