The Role:

You will be the pupil’s steady adult throughout the day. You will set up simple visuals, break work into clear steps and agree short goals so tasks feel achievable. In class you will model how to start, prompt with now next cards, and use quiet cues to keep focus. You will plan brief regulation breaks and a clean re-entry so learning restarts quickly. You will pre teach key words before new topics, run short practice on reading and number facts and help the pupil apply gains back in the lesson. You will record quick outcomes, update an intervention log and confirm next actions with the class teacher and SENCO. You will follow safeguarding and behaviour plans and support calm arrivals, tidy transitions and end of day routines.
 
The Candidate & Requirements:

You are patient, observant and clear in your language. You keep boundaries warm and consistent and help pupils move towards independence.

  • Degree, 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication, strong written and spoken English.
  • Enhanced DBS, held already or willingness to obtain.
  • Desire to work in education or with children, genuine interest in SEN and wellbeing.
  • Experience supporting children or young people, desirable but not essential.
