This school which is Ofsted-rated 'Good' nestled in the heart of Hodge Hill, is looking for a committed Humanities Teacher to inspire and empower students on their academic journey.

They are currently seeking a talented Humanities Teacher to join their fantastic team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will primarily focus on teaching history and religious education up to Key Stage 4, while also contributing to the delivery of the wider humanities curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and play a key role in shaping their understanding of the world around them.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in history and religious education, aligned with the National Curriculum and the school's ethos.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and respectful dialogue.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and enrichment activities that enhance the humanities curriculum.
  • Participate in the school's pastoral care system, providing guidance and support to students as they navigate their academic and personal journeys.
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in history, religious education, or humanities education.
  • A passion for inspiring young minds and fostering a love for learning within the humanities subjects.
  • Experience teaching history and religious education at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the Key Stage 4 curriculum requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with a commitment to collaborative teamwork and professional development.
