Role Overview
The successful Maths ECT will become an integral part of our Mathematics Department, working alongside experienced educators who are passionate about cultivating students' mathematical abilities. As a Maths ECT, you will have the opportunity to engage and inspire students, fostering a deep appreciation and understanding of mathematics.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive mathematics lessons that cater to varying learning styles and abilities.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a passion for mathematics.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the mathematics curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and aligned with national standards.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Mathematics Department and across other subject areas to create a cohesive learning experience.
 
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level, with a demonstrated track record of achieving positive student outcomes.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for promoting mathematical understanding and enthusiasm among students.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students in the learning process.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the school's ethos and development.
