Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant

This Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant role is your chance to gain valuable experience in a role where you will be developing a set of useful skills such as knowledge of primary curriculum in an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ North Birmingham school.

*** Long-term contract (September 2022 – July 2023)
*** Supporting on a 1:1 and small group basis in literacy, numeracy and science
In order to be successful with your application, it is important to have a degree, strong academic background and a natural ability to bond with children. An ideal candidate will be looking to start a career in education and be excited with their future working in education.
The students you will be assisting will more than likely be children with SEN needs. This will be an eye-opening experience, where you can explore your skills by creating an interesting and educational atmosphere to raise the attainment levels of underachieving pupils. You will be working alongside staff members that will support and give you all the information you will need to be successful and gain all the valuable knowledge you will need going forward in your career. Alongside that you will be offered training in areas such as basic phonics, literacy, and mathematics. This is a great opportunity to lead by example, managing a table of 6 children to encourage and manage the gap between them and their peers.
